Sugababes Producer Stars in New Course!

We are expanding our range of online music programmes with a little something for the songwriters. If you want to know the songwriting secrets of the man who penned such hits as Overload and Stronger, this is your chance to get direct 1-2-1 feedback from the man himself, Jony Rockstar.

The course has been developed in association with Jony and will show online students clearly the process that Jony goes through working with his vocalists to get that Top Ten hit in the can. Last weekend (12th June), the first day of video filming got underway at Jony’s West London studio. Featuring up and coming super-talented vocalist Miss D, the crew spent the day documenting the whole of the writing process from choosing loops and sounds, playing chords and laying out a structure, to writing a melody, lyrics, choosing harmonies and recording the lot. These live action videos will form only a part of the whole course which includes a wealth of materials also including screen capture tutorial videos, comprehensive notes, samples, song templates and other resources supplied by Jony Rockstar. Each week students have the opportunity to upload their own tracks and get personal feedback, tips and advice from a pro producer – in this case, Jony Rockstar himself! The resulting course will be an unprecedented insight into how a top class producer gets the job done.

In addition to providing students with weekly 1-2-1 feedback, Jony will also host a weekly webchat where the class can discuss course topics and exchange ideas with Jony and like-minded music producers from all over the world.
