2010 Brit Award Winner Paul Epworth in the Point Blank Studio

Paul Epworth has had a spectacular year, producing 'Lungs', Florence and the Machine's debut album which won 'Best Album' at the 2010 Brit awards while he himself came away with the gong for 'Best Producer'. With other credits including Kate Nash, Bloc Party, Maximo Park, Primal Scream and The Rapture, he is clearly a producer in demand.

So we were delighted when Paul agreed to come and give a music industry masterclass to students at our audio engineering school in London. He revealed some of his production secrets and shared tips on how to succeed as a record producer. Other topics covered were his favourite software and plugins, working with Florence and the Machine and Bloc Party, establishing co-writing agreements, his current favourite artists and the direction he thinks music is heading in 2010.
