Minimal Techno Course - Ableton Live F.A.Q.

Is this Ableton Live Minimal / Tech course suitable for beginners?

The course assumes that students already have some basic knowledge of making music with Ableton. You will learn how to produce a minimal / tech house track using the MIDI instruments and effects that are included with Ableton Live. No additional music software is required. If you are new to Ableton Live then we strongly recommend taking the Ableton Live Production Course first.

What software do I need to take the Minimal - Tech House course?

• Apple QuickTime - For Mac - For Windows
• Ableton Live 8 (highly recommended) or Live 7.

What hardware do I need to take the Minimal - Tech House course?

Mac Users

• Mac OS X v10.4.11 minimum (10.5 or later recommended)
• Power Mac G4/G5 1.8 GHz Minimum (Intel Mac recommended)
• 2GB RAM (4GB recommended)
• USB port
• A MIDI Controller keyboard

PC Users

• Windows XP (home or Pro), Windows Vista or Windows 7
• 2 GHz Pentium® 4 or Celeron® compatible CPU or faster (multicore CPU recommended)

Is the Ableton Live Course accredited?

What support do I get on the Ableton Courses?

You will also be able to contact him 24/7 via the student forum and raise any issues that you may encounter on your Ableton Live course.  You will also be able to participate in a weekly online masterclass where you can raise specific questions related to the functions and features in Ableton Live with fellow students and your tutor.
