Problem solved !

Yes I did get an error message.. I found the solution here http://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=69561

This made the difference for me..
"If you right click on the Install Logic Studio shortcut and choose "Show Original", it should show you the hidden installer folder. Inside the Packages folder you should find "PSTSharedA.pkg" and "ProAppsMetadataSupport.pkg". Try installing both of these package installers and see if that fixes it. This is what worked for me."

The list is sorted by continent and then country, but note that globalisation makes some of these distinctions of historical relevance only.

i've a worse problem, it's not in the logic package i installed on my mac in 2008. or more to the point, i can't find it on my hard drive. i don't understand it, i installed everything it asked me to and, annoyingly, when i do a search for it on my HD i'm getting a folder called Apple Loops For Soundtrack Pro.
Does anyone know if this means it IS lurking on my hard drive somewhere and I can't find it?
Or do I have to go back to my original box and install/re-install it from somewhere?

Hopefully not option 2 cos the software is in my actual studio, which is in my parents shed, who are away for the weekend :( :(

what cha reckon lads? :?
