Point Blank Goes Deutsche: New Online Music Production Courses in German

Bucking the trend of the ailing Euro we are pleased to announce our expansion into Europe with the opening of our new online school in German. Starting in April, German speakers will be able to take Point Blank online courses in their own language.

The first course to undergo a German makeover is Electronic Dance Music (Trance and Progressive) on Ableton Live, which sees Point Blank collaborating with internationally renowned dance producer/DJs Mike Koglin, Martin Roth and Tempo Giusto.

The course starts on the 2nd of April. Throughout the course, these 3 producers give students an invaluable insight into their unique production methods.

Starting with various ways of creating killer beats in Week 1 to writing bass lines and riffs in Week 2 to a complete track at the end of Week 4, students learn directly from active pro’s how to create modern dance music with Ableton Live. Also included are essential tips and tricks about EQ and FX, grouping, sidechain compression, applying automation, mixdown techniques and much more. German speaker Mike Koglin himself is the tutor for the course and he personally creates video feedback for students as per the below:

Included for students on the course:

  • 4 x 1-2-1 video feedback on their music projects from Mike Koglin
  • Weekly online masterclasses with Mike Koglin
  • Over 4 hours of QT video tutorials from Mike Koglin, Martin Roth and Tempo Giusto
  • Extensive course notes
  • Exclusive Ableton Live projects to download
  • 24/7 access to student / tutor discussion forums

We’re really excited about this and we’re looking forward to extending the Point Blank Network even further.  Check out the new German site and take a free sample course online. Stay tuned for more courses in German!
