If you are determined to make your mark in music then Point Blank’s Music Production Certificate with Ableton Live course was made for you.
The 1 year programme which takes place in our school here in Hoxton has been newly revamped to incorporate all the most recently developed tutorial content from the online school. Its aim is to give students a professional approach to producing music in any style or genre using this highly creative and intuitive piece of software. Starting in Module 1 you will get a comprehensive overview of the key aspects of producing in Ableton Live including MIDI, warping, basic synthesis, music theory, sampling, arrangement, controllers and mixing. Module 2 delves deeper into sound design allowing you to really start to carve out your own unique style using tools such as Reaktor, Max For Live and more of Ableton’s native synthesisers. In Module 3 you will tackle more advanced aspects of performing live with the software and learn how to achieve a punchy professional mix that will stand up to scrutiny on big club soundsystems.
The programme is taught by Ableton Live Certified Trainers and professional music producers with extensive experience and numerous production and remix credits, plus you get as much practice time as you can handle at our award-winning studios.
Class sizes are strictly limited and each student has their own state-of-the-art workstation. Says former student and successful producer Gareth Wynn (pictured above): “This was the school that brought everything together for me and gave me the kick start I needed”. Gareth has remixed Beyonce and Leona Lewis’ for Sony and his own tracks have been released on Maelstrom, CR2 and Ministry of Sound, winning acclaim from the likes of Paul van Dyk, Pete Tong and BT.
