The new Pioneer DJ classroom at Point Blank

In celebration of this partnership we’re going to be launching the classroom with a live DJ Masterclass from Ibiza Rocks resident, Rinse FM host and label boss Doorly. On Tuesday May 1st we’ll be giving you the first look at the new DJ studio with special guest Doorly sharing his expert knowledge and giving you an insight into how his sets smash the club with Pioneer’s latest equipment. We will be broadcasting the whole thing live online so you can watch from where ever you are in the world!
Having emerged from a small and local Yorkshire scene Doorly has had a rapid rise to fame. Not only has he recently undertaken a nine-month tour of the planet, but has played at almost every club in Ibiza (his summer home for the last 5 years), acts as tour DJ for R&B megastar Usher, and continues as resident, host and frontman with the illustrious Ibiza Rocks. It’s clear to see what separates Doorly from the crowd is his ability to play with a wide range of talent no matter the style of music.
Says Doorly of his setup (4xCDJs plus 2 samplers / EFX units and a mic)… “DJing should be about a live & visually exciting performance, not the back of a laptop! I bring as much equipment and broken down parts of tracks with me as possible to give me the ability to remix on the fly and involve as much scratching, looping and turntablism as possible”
Given Doorly’s dexterous talent behind the decks, it’s no wonder Pioneer have him road testing and giving design input on their kit months before it comes out. With such an in-depth knowledge his live Masterclass is not to be missed!
