Mentoring

Point Blank offers unique personal mentoring and artist development courtesy of Sugababes writer / producer Jony Rockstar. Those students who demonstrate that they have what it takes get a chance to work in the studio with Jony, getting practical production and songwriting coaching and introductions to major record labels including Universal/Island.

A&R

Point Blank has outstanding A&R contacts at several major record labels. Ben Scarr is a former student and A&R Manager at Island Records – part of the Universal Music Group and the label that launched the career of artists including Amy Winehouse, Akon, Tinchy Stryder, Florence & The Machine, Ladyhawke and Bob Marley. Both Ben and Island Records President Darcus Beese are key supporters of Point Blank and are committed to creating opportunities for students who excel on their courses.
